where do people store their stuff during a marathon?
do the organisers provide 35,000 lockers for people to put their wallets, phones, keys, change of clothes etc. in during the London marathon? how does that work? kind of impractcal.

No lockers.
At most marathons, you leave important things like keys with a loved one. If you wear a jacket to a marathon, you'd better either plan on running with it on, tying it around your waist, or just throwing it to the ground with the understanding that you'll never see it again.
Most marathons have tons of volunteers that pick up people's clothing and donate it to a specific charity such as the Salvation Army.
But sometimes, at marathons that run through bad parts of town, the poorer locals will stand around the marathon route and take discarded clothing for their own use.
