Sell for many reasons, but I'll explain it based on the numbers you put.
1. Okay, I'll admit this generation had better beats, but that's because technology has progressed
2. What you're saying here is ridiculous. KRS and Rakim are good examples of great flow and Those guys had way more creative voices back then. In this age of hip-hop, everybody is trying to sound like Lil Wayne, T-Pain, or Lil Boosie. And plus, the 90's rappers didn't abuse auto-tune like this generation has. Everyone used their natural voice, whereas nowadays rappers all have their auto-tunes set on the same pitch. Even today I still wonder what T-pain would really sound like singing w/o auto-tune.
3. Their rhymes were better than most of todays. Now everybody tries to change pronunciation of the word. Especially when they do this:
"Whenever they make them, I shall hayve them
Oops I meant have them, I'm so crazy"
4. Punchlines are different today, but they are no better. no worse
5. That one is way off point. Every mainstream rapper out there raps about the same thing (money, women, love, or lying about their past by saying they sold drugs, grew up in the ghetto, etc. Want proof? Look at Officer Rick Ross). And plus they all do it with auto-tune. Look at the creativity that guys like 2pac, Ice Cube, B.I.G., Nas, and many other 90's rappers brang to the table.
So to make a long story short, SELL.
