What are alligator clamps? What does he mean when he says this?
"I would like some simple electrical circuits ready for Tuesday. If I gave you wire and the clamps, could you make a lot of alligator clamps at home?
That's all I have right now."
I don't understand what he wants me to do. Any step-by-step guidelines I can use? Is it possible I can buy what he wants me to make?

yes you can Buy them, they are small spring loaded clips attached to another small spring loaded clip by a wire, which can be used to transfwer an elictrical charge from one place to another simply by squeezing them and releasing the alligator like bite on to a metal object. what are the recognition differences between a lizard and a baby alligator?
For only a few seconds I saw something from 15 ft away that looked like an extremely large chameleon or a baby alligator and I want to identify it.
It was dull black in color, and 8-10 inches long. I think the rather slim tail was more like a lizard. This was in the piney woods, close to the Intracoastal Waterway in northeast Florida, upstairs in a house. Lizards are all around on the upstairs porch... but they aren't that big, or that color. Do alligators climb stairs?
Alligators have a depressed (flattened) body and a compressed tail. Also, most young specimes are more brightly colored than "dull black" as you describe it. If you see it again, check the snout (long and with terminal nostrils in alligators), and the eyes (vertical pupils in alligators... but also in many lizards such as geckos). I'm puzzled by your reference to a chameleon, though, because those are not precisely typically lizard-like. I'm guessing it was probably a lizard; the dull coloration could be due to its being a large, rather old specimen.
