How long do convenient stores keep their videos from their security cameras?
I lost my wallet yesterday at a 7/11 and called the manager to see if I could review the tapes to see if someone picked it up or if an employee had grabbed it. He has yet to call me back, I was wondering if they actually kept tape for more than 24 hours or if I am just wasting my time. Have already had to cancel all my cards ><
Safest to cancel the cards anyway.
Most stores should keep the tape at least 24-48 hours, but if the store was somehow "involved" with the missing wallet, you can be sure the tape was accidentally erased....or they'll say they only keep 4 hours or something silly like that.
They can usually burn a CD of the video, on the spot, from the machine.
But then, I've had someone in the family lose a wallet in a donut shop, and called within 1 hour - they could not "find" anything on their tapes - ya, right...

if you found someones purse what would you do?
i was shopping in old navy today when i relized i let it in the dressing room when i want back to see if it was still there it wasnt so we told the store manager and checked everywhere but still cant find it it had like $50 and all this gift cards & my library card...... i am so upset but there is nothing we can do about it ..............i just which there was more honset people in the world who would actully turn things in...so if u found someones wallet would you turn it in or would u keep it and be honest
I would go thru it first, then call the person whose name is on the check book. No I would not take the money, I do unto others as I wish them to do unto me
