Science Fair ideas on a budget? ?
Hello
I want to do science fair this year at my high school. Last year I spent over $200 on my experiment. So this year I want to do something that is impressive but wont hurt my wallet. All ideas are welcomed, even dumb ones
my brother, eric, made his own telescope and made most of the stuff himself, like the barrel thingy. it was a huge hit, and everyone wanted to look through it! his science topic was "the ways that people can see light."
my other brother, evan, tested a goldfishs memory! he bought like 3 goldfish, (we had an aquarium already) and so clear plastic stuff. in the clear plastic stuff, he cut holes and traced thoutlinein red and stuck them in the water, even lengths apart. he put the goldfish at on end of the maze and put food at the other end. he wanted to see if theremembereded how to throughoug the maze to get the food. this one was a bigger hit, because everyowantedted to look at the fish!
my other brother (lol, I have 3), Aaron, did what bridgeis the best. he lokked up different kinds f models on google, then built them out of legos or k'nex. then he put weights on them to see how much weight each bidge could hold untill it snapped.

Why should you say "NO" to gift cards?
As a recipient, there's nothing you can really do but take them.
But as a giver, think twice. Please try this experiment. Take out a dollar from your wallet.
Notice how it says "THIS NOTE IS LEGAL TENDER FOR ALL DEBTS, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE?" Also notice there are no expiration dates, nor any mice type terms and conditions or hidden fees?
Cash is good anywhere for anything at any time. It carries no restrictions. It doesn't expire. So why do people take cash and voluntarily convert into something less useful, that may eventually disappear altogether by expiring or with hidden fees?
Just say "NO" to buying gift cards this year.
To Winter_s: You should check again. Visa, AMEX and MC gift cards all charge fees. Many states prohibit gift cards from expiring, but many do not. There are cards to stores and malls that do expire if not used within a couple of years, or maintenance fees start kicking in after a period of time, until the card has lost all its value.
if i buy a gift card for my wife to victoria's secret it is in hopes of influencing her to purchase something she normally wouldn't buy for herself.
