Beer Hops

How would I convert dry hops to fresh hops in a beer recipe?
I'm not talking about pellets to the vacuum packed hops I'm talking about any of those to fresh picked hops. If my recipe calls for 2oz of vacuum packed hops that you buy at the store how many oz of hops I picked today would I need?
Palletized hops…are hops. They’re processed so they are easier to use. The conveniences in using a palletized hop is that it dissociates easily in boiling wort and accumulates more rapidly in the hot break, than the full flower will. If you are able to measure the amount of “fresh” hops you have, you should be in business by measuring out your 2 ounces worth. When using wild hops, you need to be able to identify the varietal and alpha acid percentage. If the hop is different then what your recipe calls for, the finished beer’s bitter and aromatic profile will be off. I would also use a hop bag so you can more easily remove the flower after whirlpool.

How To Home Brew Stout Beer : Weighing Hops For Home Brewing Stout Beer
Is beer without the hops added, basically just malt liquor?
Is it? or is there something that I'm just not seeing, or not understanding?
Excellent answer! The first two clowns were WAY off!
It's true that malt liquor is a tax designation, but there is also a loophole. Beers like Duvel (mentioned above) are not considered malt liquor. Lagers over 5% abv have to be labeled as malt liquor, not lager or beer. Many lagers over 5% abv are sold without either designation, but instead labeled as the particular style, such as Bock, Doppelbock, etc.
Ales do not have to be labeled malt liquor under any circumstances, as a malt liquor is considered a type of lager under US tax laws.
Thanks, US Government for making things more confusing, once again!
But everything the above poster said about hops is 100% true. Cheers!
