What's up with Paypal nowadays? I HAVE to enter bank transfer funds info? Not a debit card?
It used to be that you could put funds in your account via a debit or credit card and it was practically instantaneous. Now it seems the only way to deposit funds is this electronic transfer from a US bank and it says it takes about 4 days... plus I can't find my checkbook and I don't really want to give them all that info... I mean, it's easy to cancel a credit card quickly if something goes wrong... not so easy to get a new bank account.

Edit: It's an online thing I want to buy.... the only method of payment they accept iss Paypal.
Why keep a balance in PayPal at all? If you have a checking account, use your debit/credit card at the time of transaction and that should work (it did the last time I used it...)
I try to stick with credit cards except for cases where I can't (such as PayPal's eBay shipping which will only let you take from the balance or use your checking/savings account...)
If you use your debit card, though, watch out becaues even if you're only liable for $50 or even $0 in fraudulent charges, you still don't have access to however much was stolen until the bank closes the dispute.
