Cover Nwt JWs: What's your favorite Bible translation?
If the NWT is your favorite, then what is your second favorite? (Or third, fourth, fifth, etc.)
I like the New Jerusalem Bible because it's fairly accurate and easier to read than most. If fact, the first time I read a Bible from cover to cover, it was with the NJB. (Although I did read large portions from the NWT.) I just remembered that the NJB was the first Bible I ever purchased, probably being about 13 years old.
My favorite is the New World Translation, Large print with references. With the footnotes and appendices it is an excellent study Bible.
My second favorite is a tie between The Bible - An American Translation (Smith and Goodspeed) and the American Standard version of 1901.
And another favorite is the older KJV as long as it has the center reference column. Great ministry tool!
