Will a "stainless steel" wallet really block RFID?
I want to know before I drop almost $100 on a stainless steel wallet if it really does act like a Faraday cage in your pocket and block RFID transmissions. In this new age of identity theft I want to protect my credit cards with chips in them from people that are up to no good. Here are the two I am considering.

Also read SpyChips http://www.spychips.com (available in paperback now). A good book that tells of the dangers involved with RFID. Some of the writing seems, at first glance, a bit paranoid. But, with a little more investigation into RFID on your part you will find out that this ‘technology’ can and is very invasive into your privacy.

How Should I Go About Spending and Protecting My Money at the Mall?
Tomorrow I'm going to the mall, to get an iPod Touch and some clothes. How should I go about protecting my cash. I don't have a debit or credit card, and I am going to definitely going to buy them all tomorrow.
And Which should I buy first? the clothes, or the iPod. If I get the clothes first, It's likely that I'll go overboard on my money or that someone will steel it if he/she sees my huge wad of cash.
And then again, if I get the iPod first I won't go overboard with the clothes but someone could try to steel it if they see me with it. So in a broad sense, How do I protect a big wad of cash, and I do have a wallet, and should I get my clothes of my iPod first?
Don't flash the cash. keep the money in your wallet..and if you're worried, keep the wallet in your front pants pocket.
Separate your cash before you leave for the mall. Allocate $XXX.XX in one pocket for the ipod, then leave the rest in your wallet for the clothes.
Get the clothes first, then ipod. Bring a friend with you to reduce your chances of getting robbed. Only shop during the daylight hours.
