Faced Snakeskin
i have 2 snakeskin gourami in a community tank. it looks like they are kissing?
recently the male has been very dark, and he stays inside an upright log. the female swims about the tank, no problems. just today the female is hanging around the log where the male is hiding, and they're now, what looks like, kissing. they bite face and hold on for a few seconds, let go and do it again.
Kissing isn't a sign of mating nor is it safe. They are fighting and they could hurt each other. You may need a bigger tank or another female so they can evenly divide their territory.

I had a laser treatment done, and I'm peeling terribly... I've missed 2 days of work. Any suggestions to help?
HELP!!!!!
I was told at the doctor's office that the only side effects would be redness, and that it would only last for a day or two... Now it's been a week, and my face looks like snakeskin... I've already missed 2 days of work, and I really can't afford to take any more time off. I really need some ideas on how to get my face to stop peeling. Thanks for any help!!!
the whole deal about laser treatment is to rejuvenate the skin and give you a better complexion. therefore, the peeling will only stop once your skin finishes 'renewing' itself.
though you can't actually stop it, there's a way to reduce the extent of flakiness by changing your cleanser to a milder one during this period and moisturize after every wash. also, if you've had any prescribed cream prior to your skin condition that causes dryness, lay off them for awhile.
and while u're washing your face the next time, try to rub the surface of your skin lightly with just your fingertips. this should get rid of the deadskin that has formed on your face. but remember NOT to rub your new skin too hard or it may cause ur skin to turn pinkish/stingy.
