What do you think of the University of Kansas?
Recently, I've decided I want to major in Journalism.
Well, I found KU on a list of exceptional Journalism schools.
So, I looked into it, and fell in love.
Is there anything I should know?
I'd love any personal experiences, or anything like that. 
I'm super excited about finding this school.
P.S. - I've already gone through their website, all my college books, previous Y!A questions, etc.
I know the basics.
KU is my dream school (I am a high-school senior who applied and got in). If you want to stay & live in the Mid-West, then a Journalism degree from KU is very good, but if you go to the West Coast or Northeast or somewhere non-Midwest, people tend to think of KU as an average school. Nothing that will have people jump out of their seat when you say KU, but people won't think you're a total idiot like if you said you went to Arizona State.
KU has a great Greek Life, a top NCAA basketball program, very pretty campus and the people at KU are all nice and friendly.

Which school should I attend, University of Kansas or Northern Illinois University ?
I am from the Chicago area and don't know what to choose. NIU is closer to home, about and hour away. But KU is farther and a more acknowledged school. I am also a huge basketball fan and a big fan of the Jayhawks which have won the national title.
