Skin Large
clear skin but with large pores and dull skin. any way to improve?
I have clear skin without zits or spots, however I have dull skin and large pores, so often I put foundation to give a zero pores complextion, so I do not dare to go out without any cosmetic, I have problem with blackheads too, any products to give an effective improvement on my skin?
It sounds like you need to exfoliate. Try Clinique 7 day scrub cream. It's a cleanser you can use everyday that will also get rid of the dullness in your skin. It's effective for blackheads too. Also, if you have large pores, try a toner. After a shower, the steam will open everything up. Rub toner on with a cotton pad and everything will shrink nicely.

Dermatology & Skin Diseases : What Causes Large Pores?
I'm 47-years old with oily skin, large pores, continue to experience frequent acne breakouts?
I’ve used a lot of over the counter acne stuff, Prescription antibiotics, Prescription topical creams and even proactiv. I would like to use something that not only can help with my adult breakouts without over stripping my skin.

It sounds like you have a severe case of adult acne. Adult acne affects up to 40% of females and 20% of males. Having acne is a depressing and trying time for anybody, no matter the age.

I suggest you visit your local GP or dermatologist and ask for some stronger acne medication as it seems like the other treatments are not giving you the results you want. If worst comes to worst, you should suggest to your GP or dermatologist that you wish to try ACCUTANE. This is basically the atom bomb of all acne medications. It has a warning list a few pages long and has quite a few side effects, but it wipes out all types of acne.

As a prior Radiologic Technologist (17 years), Instructor (3 years), Medical Phyics Technologist (2 years). I have practiced ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable), and taught ALARA to non-Radiology personnel; any guesses as to the 1st thing you do to prevent absorbsion to the skin (largest organ of the body)? Use a diagnostically appropriate level of potential energy (kVp) and only the correct amount possible radiation (mAs) for the body part imaged. At the same time limiting the beam to only the desired part of the body for imaging. While shielding the gonads from the primary beam (if possible, which is possible 95% of the time), secondary and scatter radiation (less possible than you think). Secondary radiation is from the primary beam hitting something and causing a secondary source of radiation to cause interaction with the body. What happens to most primary beam and secondary radiation in a body image, it passes through for the most part. What happens to the radiation that does not, it can cause unwanted changes to the cells of the body. Scatter Radiation is what every Radiology Technologist avoids at all costs. Scatter is what makes recorded images lose detail, and it is what is absorbed by tissues (namely skin, eyes, gonads). Scatter has no diagnostic value and is harmful to patients and Radiology Technologist avoid this at all costs.
