Travelers Checks Wallet

My grandfather has a Series 1957 Silver Certificate, slightly bent. Any idea regarding its value?
It's a dollar while the US was still under the silver standard. He found it in an old wallet which also contains a receipt and a traveler's check, both from 1957.
Depends. A crisp example... maybe $5. The government doesnt back our currency with silver or gold anymore. If they did, it would be worth more, obviously.

Does anyone use/recommend passport holders/wallets?
I recenty received my passport. I'm considering buying a holder for it, in order to protect it. I'm not really the type to lose things and like to check for my ID, tickets, etc. every 5 minutes.
Would anyone recommend buying one? Are there brands that you'd suggest that are durable and also let you hold your tickets, ID, traveler's checks? Or would you recommend just not buying one and keeping everything separate (just in case it gets stolen...)
Hey, I would check out this site for some ideas. Keeping your passport in good condition with a plastic protector (they usually have them at drugstores like CVS). I'm sure you''ll be fine.
