Is it bad for flowers to have a rubber band around their stems?
I have some sunflowers that I am displaying in a vase, and they look better if I bind them together with a rubber band. My roommate says that might hurt them though and make them wilt sooner- does anyone know?
The stems on sunflowers are pretty thick, make sure they have a fresh cut as long as the band is not smashing the stems they will bw fine. After all they bundle flowers like that in the market.

Where around Houston can I bind a booklet?
The pages are regular 8.5 by 11 inches. I want to bind them together along one edge and I need it to be a fairly quick service - no more than 24 hours. This is for a school project so I can't change the sizes. The location should be somewhere between Houston and Galveston in Texas.
I'd like to know where to go by the end of the month (November). Thanks in advance!
Also, if you know how to bind them without sending them off to someone else, please leave your tips; I might be able to bind them on my own.
