Good ways to spruce up a plain wallet?
I can't think of any way to personalize a plain ordinary wallet, leather or fabric. What is the best way to decorate either one of those materials?
You can try fabric paints, beads and such, embroidery, or ribbon. Let your imagination run, and don't worry if one idea seems silly. Sometimes the silliest or stupidest ideas I've had have lead to the best ones.

1st Anniversary Coming Up -- Stumped for Gifts for Husband?
My first anniversary is coming up...I've exhausted all my gift ideas for previous occasions. I've bought my husband at various times, a watch, wallet, PJs, concert tickets, cd, theater tickets.
I don't really want to do the traditional paper gift...What my husband really could use is a leather portfolio (for taking to interviews etc). I was thinking of getting a leather monogrammed/personalized portfolio but I can't find anything I like any where on the net. Does anyone have any ideas of good quality leather products manufacturers in the US who could do personalization?
Or any other ideas in general?
My husband's going to go to business school, is into music (he used to be a keyboardist in a band), he's in his late 20s, likes techy gadgets; we both love watching movies, and eating out.

its pack full of gadgets. Did you guys write your own vows for your wedding or do something different for your wedding. If you wrote your own vows you could have them printed and than framed in a great frame so the 2 of you could read them over and over. That would take care of the paper tradition
