ok... let me get this straight. he NEVER takes u out, behaves badly, and u r expecting him to make plans for vday? look, it seems like ur relationship is falling apart. however, that is not the focus of ur question. look, if he has such issues with money, i think u are right to stick to buying something cheap and waiting for him to make the 1st move. hmm, i suggest u buy/make a keychain and have it engraved with a little msg from u. i dont think that should cost much. keep it simple, yet that shows a little personal effort. spurging definitely doesnt amount to the personal value. i hope this helps
