Adjustable Strap
I have a dress vest, but there seems to be some sort of adjustable strap on the back? What do I do with it?
I'm clueless. Should I tie it? Should I let it hang once adjusted?
the strap is to cinch the waist. Adjust it so your comfortable. The extra fabric should tuck into a loop on the strap. If there isn't a loop or the extra fabric hangs like a rat tail you may want to sew it in place.
Nearly every vest on the planet has this strap.

How can I make adjustable straps for my shirt?
I bought this cute spaghetti strap shirt but the sleeves are too long. I was thinking of fixing them by changing the regular straps into adjustable ones but I'm not sure exactly how I should go about doing it. Does anyone know the easiest way of adding adjusters to my straps?
I'm sure it's really simple to add them, and I'm sure many craft stores sell the proper equipment. I tend to have the same problem with straps being too big. I recently bought a really cute dress that was on sell but have to fix the straps. This is what I do:
I actually cut the straps! If you know what you are doing it's really simple to measure and cute both straps equally and sew the seems on the back where the seems use to be. It's very simple and very effective. It's a lot easier than messing with adjusters and it looks a lot neater as well.
