What statement do you think these vehicles say about someone? (this is just a fun survey)?
I saw an article on one of the car sites that attempted to describe into words the statement your car says about you but it only had a few. For example, a Corvette and Porsche says you probably take Viagra, have had two divorces, blah, blah, blah right. I wanted to see more so decided to take a survey. So here it goes.
What do you think a _____________ says about a person? (fill blank with below vehicles you'd like to comment on)
BMW (3-series)
Mercedes (C, E, or CLK class)
Range Rover Sport
Escalade
BMW X5
Corvette
Porsche
Hummer H2
GMC 1500 Truck (or similar)
Tahoe
Don't hold back what do you really think they say, good or bad?
BMW (3-series) - young, professional, conventional, can’t yet afford what (s)he really wants to buy Mercedes (C, E, or CLK class) - status-driven...why else would you buy an over-priced vehicle with poor predicted reliability...better off buying the hood ornament and installing it on a Honda Accord Range Rover Sport - young, can afford to buy a flashy, good looking SUV with fair to poor predicted reliability, don’t entrust your retirement money with this fellow Escalade - status-driven from parts of the country where Cadillac still connotes status, shouts out: "I don’t care that I only get 13 mpg...I make it back by buying my coffee from Dunkin Donuts", she often finds it helpful when picking up milk from the grocery store BMW X5 - married, professional, clinging to fast driving single days, yet brand conscious enough to be willing to buy a more expensive and significantly inferior SUV to the Lexus RX Corvette - virile male, single or married to a very understanding wife, lives life, doesn’t drive this car to meet with his life insurance agent Porsche - successful executive in his 40s or 50s, balding with silver highlights, typically driven on weekends or on boys’ night out at the speed limit, virility unclear Hummer H2 - what can I say? stupid I guess, shouts out: "I don’t care about anyone else!" or "what Mideast oil dependency?!", great for picking up groceries and junior from school, high school boys should be banned from these, but, given that they are not I can’t make the otherwise definitive virility observations..., basically a Tahoe dressed up as Mr. Hyde GMC 1500 Truck (or similar) - working hard for a living...successfully, probably working so hard the driver failed to notice the less expensive higher quality Toyota Tundra Tahoe - penny-wise buyer of a huge SUV...recommended by Consumer Reports even though it ranked 10th out of 12 in its class--go figure Thanks for the Q...I had fun...needless to say, I don't drive one of these.
