Leather Magic Wallets Is my wallet made out of magic?
I have a brown leather wallet, every time i mark it up with my keys or finger nail it leaves a really discolored mark, this always pisses me off...but then i pull my wallet out 30 mins later AND ITS GONE?
im sure i actually damaged the wallet, so why did it disappear? is my wallet possibly magical?
If you used a microscope you would see that you raise the grain fibers of the leather when you scratch it which makes the leather look different from the grain structure of the rest of the wallet. When you put it back in your pocket the vibration and pressure from your pants and sitting and walking push the fibers back into alignment with the rest of the grain structure.
Sort of like when you rub your hand across a carpet and it has a certain look to it, but if you push back the opposite direction the carpet looks normal again
