What is the weird lump under my skin on my leg?
This lump is situated on my shin under my skin on my leg,it is small,hard and round about half the size of a pea and it moves around when i touch it.Any ideas what it could be?
It's a cyst or a lump of fat. It's not anything to worry about. I've got one under my thigh and another on the back of my shoulder.
I asked the doctor about the one on my shouldour and that's what he told me.

Football Player Breaks leg out of skin
I need help identifying a firm bump under cats skin, on the leg?
12 year old male indoor only cat. Outside of eating low-residue food due to sensitive internals he has always been healthy and active - still is at the time of this writing. We noticed about a week ago a bump on the upper section of his lower rear leg (tarsus or metatarsus) - firm, round, no indications of pain, moves when manipulated (not on the bone itself). Currently I am leaning toward this being a Sebaceous cyst. How should this be treated? What else can I do before going to the vet?
I just dealt with a sebaceous cyst on one of my cats' back. Fortunately, I was able to get it to release by warm epsom salt compresses. Once the plugged oil was out and a little residual puss, it healed quickly without any need for a vet or antibiotics. If the cyst doesn't respond to home therapy, probably the vet will need to lance, drain, and give antibiotics. Now, I have lanced cysts on animals myself in the past, but unless you have a good stomach and a couple of brawny boys to help hold the cat, I would not recommend this. Besides, when you get to the point of lancing, you probably need antibiotics.
As there seems to be no discomfort (a cyst would probably have a little discomfort) another two possibilities are fatty lumps which also move when manipulated. These are benign, not in the least painful, and rarely require treatment. These, however, are usually found on the neck, back, or belly. Another possibility is a calcium deposit, and these can occur anywhere. They tend to be a little harder, yet frequently have a level of manipulation. While not an issue in themselves, sometimes they can be an indication of another ailment.
No matter the cause of the lump, a little warm water and Epsom salts treatment isn't going to hurt, and may very well help.
