What good did the writer's strike prove?
The television writer's are a bunch of prima donna crybabies who deserves the same punishment that they gave to the the viewing public.
The strike only helped to accelerate the death of broadcast TV by pushing the users of video content to the internet - the free, p2p file sharing internet.
I have no sympathy for the writer's.
The writer's strike did to TV what the baseball strike did to MLB it destroyed spectator (viewing) participation.
I'm not saying that the TV executives are right, they are not.
What I am saying is that the writer's were misguided in allowing the TV viewers to be caught in the crossfire in their beef with the TV studios.
For that alone the writers should not be forgiven. In fact, they should be punished for destroying the the final years of broadcast TV.

This rant would be more credible if you had an idea of what you are talking about.
The writers did not want to go on strike, they wanted to be treated fairly, and to be paid for all of their work.
As it turns out, they now are, which is the way it should be for everyone.

Why is the Judicial Branch not more pro-active in protecting the Constitution?
I keep hearing this BS about the Three Branches of government, checking and balancing each other.
Yet the dignified High Priests of the Supreme Court make no move as the Executive Branch and/or the Legislative Branch are thrashing the Constitution. The Supreme Court Judges sit around like holier-than-thou prima donnas until someone files a lawsuit..., and then it takes 10 years to redress the abuse. In the meantime thousands of doors are being kicked in by the bastards violating the 4th Amendment with impunity. What kind of freaking check and balance is that?
Because it is not their job to be proactive. Their job is to resolve constitutional issues brought before them. Not go hunting for them.
