Too many wedding favors?
A quick question to all you brides out there. Right now, I am planning on having place card holders and personalized matchbooks as favors. The place card holders are silver, kind of like those photo "frames" that you clip pictures onto, and they have 2 linked hearts on them. The matches are just matchbooks with our names and date on them. I was thinking about doing Jordan Almonds as well, but I'm afraid I'm going into favor overload!!! Also, I would prefer to not spend any more money on favors at this point. So, do you think the placecard holders and the matches will suffice?

From what you're all saying, it seems like I'm good with what I have.
And the reason I'm giving the matches is a) who doesn't have candles at home to light and b) a lot of people we know are smokers, as are we.
i am also having frames as place card holders, (great minds think alike!) I think it is a favor all the guests will use. I am having a fall themed reception, so I am having gourmet caramel apples for everyone, which I think they will all love to eat! I am also having glass coasters with etched leaves , they come in sets of four, so I will have one set for each family and set them with the apples at the wives place setting. If you don't want to spend any more money, you don't have to. Guests don't come to a wedding expecting any kind of favor. I think that you have done a great job with what you have and both are things people will use!

Mothers Day?
Okay, for Mothers day I got my Mom,
A Set of Sunflower Hand Towels (She LOVES sunflowers), Sunflower pot Holders, 4 Pillows for the Living Room Couch (All with help from my 2 siblings) a singing mothers day Card, and we also went to the Mall and got her Personalized Charm Pieces to her Braclete, the little Charm peices has our Names on it and our Birthdates... and Also my sister and I are making her a Cake with Fondat and really Cute Flowers on it...
So what I was wondering, Should we offer to take her out to eat also?
Do it while you can, I lost my Mom over 2 years ago and I wish that I could have spent more Mothers Days with her doing those things. She will appreciate whatever you do for her, but for yourself and your sisters do as much as you can with her while you still have her.

He lost out on the revenue of that room by your no-show, so he is entitled to some sort of compensation. Sorry, but he is in the right in this case. Your argument about the confirmation number is irrelevant. That had NOTHING to do with you not calling him to cancel. You did not cancel the reservation, he lost revenue, you are responsible to mitigate his damages.
