How to make fire on a stranded isolated island?
We have an activity to finish at school.
We were given a scenario, Being stranded on an island unknown by all.
We were given flotsam cards (items that drifted from shipwreck); today we got a leather wallet with $500 worth notes, and a empty paint can with a handle.
The sources we can use are: seawater, grass, branches, animals, and any other natural materials.
How can we make fire with these? We do not have any magnifying glass, plastic wrap, or any tools to cut trees with or to carve with. All we have are our clothes and our flotsam items given.

You can make a fire by generating friction or by making sparks with flint and steel.
Method 1: Fline and steel.
THe bottom edge of the steel paint bucket could be used to strike against a piece of flint and make sparks. THe spark would then ignite tinder (easily burnable material) like paper money....
You just have to look on the island and find some naturally ocurring flint.
The bucket may be more useful to carry and store fresh water so this may not be the best use of the steel bucket.
Method 2:
Friction... Make a "Fire Drill" this device that looks like a bow and arrow but instead of launching the arrow the bow is used to spin a striaght piece of wood (Drill) against another piece of wood. The heat of friction is used to ignite the tinder.
The sweater can be a source of yarn with which to make a bow string with. THe island will provide a source of wood for the drill and bow and base . THe leather wallet will be used to protect your hand while guide the upper part of the drill while you press the lower part of the drill against the wood while spinning. (See video)
The bow string is looped once around the drill. THe bow is then moved back and forth in a sawing motion. The looped bow string will then spin the drill at a high rate of speed .

How do I make this suede bracelet?

is there any way I can "carve" someones name in to a suede bracelet like this without having those super fancy tools? I know it can be done, and I just bought a kit that shows the bracelets with writing, but doesn't show how to do the writing or carving. thanks!
