Leather Wallet Green Do you wear real fur and worry?
about people throwing blood or flour on you? I don't understand how some people with leather footballs, or if they have suede and leather shoes, coats, purses, wallets, belts, etc. can be so nasty to people wearing fur coats. Killing is killing whether to eat the meat or wear the skins for warmth. Grandma gave me a gorgeous raccoon coat and I hesitate to wear it. She said the animal has been long dead and I should wear it in their memory or tell people it was just road-kill and you are salving it and being green. Gram has a sense of humor. I thought about pretending it wasn't real fur.
some cultures believe that if you didn't use as much of a dead animal as you can that that death was in vain! Use as much as you can weather it be skin to keep warm food for teh belly bones for weapons! just don't leave it there to rot! it's a waste! would you want to die in vain? no and American Indians didn't want the animals to either!
if you do have a coat be thankful that the skin wasn't just left on the ground to rot! it's not like you went and killed it!
but don't get mad at those who don't agree. only get mad at them if they do something like toss blood or whatnot at you!
people can be nasty! But tell them the memory thing is good but you don't like to be wasteful. plus it's something someone close to you gave you! ask a person who is all being nasty if they would part with something that someone close to them gave them... because of YOUR beleives!
just look at them and say sorry we have different views on this! but i'm not asking you to wear it! heck don't even touch it. but someone important in my life gave it to me and that out ranks your opinion!
