Why is Miller Lite vanishing from NYC Bars?
For the last few months Miller Lite has been coming off the beer list at bars all over the city...this includes many places that have carried it for the last 3-4 years. This is my favorite beer and I'm curious as to what is going on.
because a lot of people think it tastes like water.

Why does Guinness require a special tap?
I have noticed that every bar I go to that serves Guinness on draft, the Guinness tap looks different from a normal beer tap, such as the Budweiser tap. This is also true for Boddington's. Why is it that beers like Guinness and Boddington's require this special tap? What would the beer taste like if you connect the keg to a normal tap? What would other beers, such as Budweiser or Miller Lite, taste like if you connect the keg to a Guinness-style tap?
It is to mix nitrogen into the beer to make that cool cascading foam effect.
If you ran it through a regular tap it would be over carbonated.

I did not have the 16, but I was able to try the 12, 18, 30 and 40. I felt the 12 and 18 were similar, with the 18 having a little more sweetness to it, but the chocolate and peat being very prevalent in both. The 30 and 40 were great as well (only had a small sample of both, they seemed much smoother than the 12 or 18). I feel fortunate, as my beer bar had all of them in casks that really made the experience worthwhile.
