Super Mario Red
What's with the flying red cap in Super Mario 64 DS? I can't fly very well. What am I doing wrong?
I've got the triple jump thing fine, but like in the shifting sands land (8) I can't grab the floating red coins because Mario dips and stuff. Any tips? Am I doing something wrong?
Mario, Luigi, and Wario Hats are available in some levels. By wearing a character's hat, a character can transform into the character whose hat they are wearing (their physical appearance changes, but their voice doesn't). The hats fall off if the character gets hit physically, but can be reacquired before disappearing. Hats are shown on the touch screen map. Yoshi comes with the ability to start a level wearing the hat of any of the unlocked characters.
Characters (except Yoshi) cannot wear a hat if they are lacking their own.
1.-2.- Goomboss Battle: You are going to need to have rescued all of the
characters to collect all of the red coins.there is also a switch star on the
corner of the level that you only need Mario's wallkick to get. Kill the two
Goombas so that they are out of your way, then press the switch and wallkick
to the top ledge.
3.-4.- King Boo Battle: You only need Mario and Wario to get the 8- coin star
but you need Luigi to get the hidden painting star. You will need to move
quickly so take out all of the enemies first, and then remember the path you
have to take to get to the last room with the shy boo painting at the end. Hit
the power block with Luigi and jump through the painting to get the second
star.
5.-6.- Chief Chilly Challenge: This level is REALLY annoying. You need Mario
and Luigi to get the 8-coin star. the last coin is on a floating island that
you need Mario yo float to.The second star is pretty easy, just hit the power
block near the windy ledge with Wario, walk across, and hit the black brick
block.
7.-8.-Bowser in the Dark World:you need to have the ? blocks activated to get
all of the 8 red coins, as the first one is a little bit off from where you
start. The switch star is located at the top of the level.From there hit the
switch, slide down the ramp, and jump from red platformto red platform to get
to the star, where a red coin is.
9.-10.-Bowser in the Lava Sea:Watch out for the Bullies and getting the red
coins shouldn't be too hard. The switch star is easier with Luigi because of
his backflip super spin. hit the switch, hop on to the higher platform, then
do a backflip to the star.
11.-Bowser in the sky: All you have to do in this level is get the 8 red
coins. The last coin is on a small ledge on the second to last platform.
12.-13.Courtyard: Get to Battle fort through the orange blocks in the
courtyard, once inside, collect all of the silver stars.
In the courtyard, after you get Mario, and before big boo shows up, smoosh the
courtyard boos for the red coins to make a star appear. If big boo shows up
before you get this star, restart your game.
14.-Castle rabbits:After getting about 80 stars glowing rabbits will start
showing up-be Yoshi, head outside, and there will be three of them right
there. Keep going in and out until you have all of the 8 glowing rabbits.
15.? block area: Yeah, your parents told you not to, but as Mario, look into
the sun on the main floor and get the 8 red coins without landing. If you
land, you will not be able to reach the coins.
16.-17.-Under the moat: As Wario , go into the emtied moat and hit the black
block, and hop in.Go carefully down the ramp so you can collect the red coins
on the way down. Grab the Mario hat and collect the rest of the coins.For the
second star grab the Mario hat then use his ? box at the bottom of the ramp to
get to a small island on your map. hit the switch then float up to the star.
18.-19.-Behind the waterfall:Get here from Hazy Maze Cave with Wario, hit
the ? box and collect the 8 red coins.Be careful not to be carried out by the
current. The second star is gotten by hitting the ? block furthest from where
you fall out and floating strait up.
20.-21.-The princess's slide: Getting the first star is easy, just slide down
the slide. The second star is gotten by beating it in under 21secs, so just
ignore ALL coins and head strait down, as fast as you can.
23.-The Beach: This level is located in the princess's game room with the
picture of a beach. Hop inside, collect the 5 silver stars, then grab the real
star.
24.-Aquarium secret: Near the entrance to Jolly Roger Bay hop into one of the
square holes in th e side of the wall. One has a 1-up and the other has a
small 8-coin collect level. there are 4 on the floor and 4 in rings above the
floor.
25.-26.-Secret flying World: Turn left in the room with Tick Tock Clock and go
into the hole. get the 8-red coins by using the cannons correctly and moving
quickly. In order to get the second star you have to Fly to the island with a
tree, Wario hat, cannon, and a bomb buddy. Become Wario, talk to the buddy,
then shoot yourself just a little bit over the tree with the black box next to
it. Smash the box and you have your second star.
27.-30.The last 4 secret stars should be given to you by toads. So, be
friendly, Even if the one your talking to doesn't have a star listen to the
info he gives you.
