Wrangler Rodeo Wallet
Why do cowboys always tuck their shirts into their jeans and have those tall wallets?
I'm not from Texas, but I've lived here a few months now. I've noticed all the cowboys here who either work on the ranches around here or do rodeo and bullriding always seem to tuck their shirts into their Wranglers, Levi's, or Cinch jeans. Even the ones who are around my age, like 20-25, all seem to do it too. Is it for their safety because of the kind of work they do, or do they just like to show off their big belt buckles? They also all seem to have these tall wallets that stick up like 2 inches above their back pockets. Why do they all do this? Just wondering.
Tucking your shirt into your pants is the accepted way in most countries where men wear shirts and pants. Fashionably draping your shirt outside your pants is a very recent thing, and I've only seen it in cosmopolitan towns and cities.
And yeah, I guess it makes sense for safety, also.
About the wallets, I don't know. Sounds dumb when they could snag it and lose it, or get it lifted by a pickpocket.
