Taxi Wallet I lost my wallet on the airplane or in the airport....Help!?
About 3 days ago, after returning on a flight from France to Dublin I lost my wallet. There are two possible ways in which this happened: I left it behind on the plane because it slipped out of my pocket when I went to stand up or it was stolen from my bag after we landed because I left open a pocket.
Each morning since, I have contacted Ryanair, the airplane company and checked to see if my wallet has been handed in. And as each day passes it becomes more probable that I will never see that 400 euros again.
I would like to hear from anyone who has any experiences with losing wallets, phones etc. on planes, taxis etc.
And the more I think about how I lost my wallet, I believe that it was stolen. What do you guys think. Is it probable for someone at an airport to steal a wallet, in public view from someone's schoolbag? I did leave a sip open................damn it!!!!!
I am so confused
Hi, Sorry this happened to you. I hate to sound pessimistic, but it really does sound like you are going to have to chalk this one up to experience. And it is an experience A LOT of people have had. If the airport hasn't got it and you think it may have been stolen, it probably was. Yes. There are people that look for every opportunity to steal. If you had any other things in your wallet, like credit cards, etc. , I'd cancel them as soon as possible. Best wishes.

Is it illegal to find something and not return to the owner? (Singapore content)?
I had lost a wallet on a taxi. one week later only my identity card and bank card are send to my home address.
Can the person only return part of my lost item? is it legal?
You should be happy they sent you that much. Its not illegal for them to keep it. There is no law that states that when you find something it HAS to be returned to the rightful owner. Thats just something that SHOULD happen.
But, have you ever thought that maybe thats all they found? Maybe a few people found it & the last person was just nice enough to return it to you.
