Wallet Vector Vector Mechanics for Engineers: Statics 9th problems?
The above textbook (Vector Mechanics for Engineers: Statics 9th by Beer) has caused me considerable pain (wallet wise), and continues to do so. Ignoring the massive cost of the thing, I won't get it till after my first homework assignment is due (at the earliest). A quick search reveals not even the dark society which gives out solutions to textbooks has anything on this book. To make it short, could anyone please direct me to a place where I can get a few problems from ch.2. Note that the 8th edition which is easily found can not help me and I do not care for the solutions because it is so early in the book (easy in other words).
/*problems in particular are 2.5, 2.16, and 2.25 if someone could spare the scans*/
Thanks
I cannot find any book previews either.
Try borrowing it from a friend, or new friend in your class. Try working together on it as well. This way you can both access the problem statements
Try going to the book store and finding an open version. Draw on your notes, some sketches of problems along with given data.
As another note, the used book market should be high at your school for an Engineering statics book. I find that an Engineering statics book contains mostly memorizable subject matter, and is also included in future textbooks. Sell your statics book at the end of the semester, as your strengths and dynamics books will duplicate its info.
If I were a professor, I would give people a handout containing homework problems for the first two weeks of class, so they can wait for the books to be delivered via mail order.
