My 15 month old has figured out how to get out of her car seat! Help!?
Not completely but close !
In the just the past few days while driving, I have looked back at and her shoulders/ arms are out of the belts!
She has figured out how to push down the fastener that lays on her chest down to her waist - then freeing her shoulders arms and twisting almost sideways and/or trying to stand up.
The belts are still fastened in the clip between her legs.
I have adjusted the straps and they are very snug when she is initially belted in but she can still get out.
What can I do?
Distraction is a good plan, so is giving her a reason to want to stay in her seat. She's still pretty young - so it has to be a repetitive thing. You have to gauge what she can understand.
Taker her bye bye, if she understands 'park' or 'ice cream' than choose something like that that she likes. Put her in her seat, make sure the straps are appropriately snug (put your index finger at her shoulder on top of the strap, and your thumb right below it. Now try to pinch the strap. If you get any strap in your pinch, its too loose), the chest clip at armpit height. THe second she undoes the chest clip, pull over. Let this happen a few times and there's a good chance she will get the message.
Another option - you could attempt to get a different type of seat, it may help if the chest clip is different. Some convertible seats still have the old style of chest clip - its called paperclip style, its one pieces, and the straps just slide onto it. Its incredibly easy to move up and down, even for a child. Look for a seat that has a 2 piece clip that clicks shut. It will be harder to move. Keep some exciting toys (but soft - the rule is if you smack yourself upside the head with it and it hurts, it shouldn't be loose in the car.) that are for the car only. Play CDs with kids singing or songs she likes. Soft books with things to do (like pockets, buttons and zippers are great.
Here's a few seast that I highly recommend, they all have 2 piece chest clips, take her to try them out and see what happens:
The Britax Marathon/Boulevard/Decathalon (These 3 are the same seat, just different variances of luxury additions, with the Marathon being the cheapest base model) can be found for regular price of $269, and on sale at Albee Baby online for $209-$219. The Marathon a wide open easy to route belt path, which makes using it correctly a lot easier, as do the built in lockoffs, which mean you never again have to use a locking clip. I can get it into 4 different vehicles in under 2 minutes. Because of the way the base is made, it fits in most cars. And, it is worth the money, b/c it lasts usually twice as long as most other car seats (all car seats expire 6 years after the date of manufacture) lasting a baby till they are 5-6 years old, where most at Walmart will only last till 2-4 years old. Rear faces to 33lbs, then forward to 65lbs. and top slots 17inches tall, lasts most kids to ages 5-6 years old.
The Evenflo Triumph Advance (not the original Triumph, make sure it says Advance) is a great seat. $150 version at Babies R Us has padding similar to Britax seats, top slots of 17", harnesses to 35lbs rear facing, and 50lbs forward facing. $120 Walmart version just has little less plush padding. Wide open belt path, easy to install, though it doesn't have built in lockoffs. The harness adjusts at the front of the car seat, you don't have to take the car seat out of the car just to raise/lower the straps. It has infinite harness adjustment so the harness always fits perfectly until its outgrown. No more tugging straps to tighten them either. You tighten and loosen the harness using knobs on the side of the seat. As a major bonus, it can be used in a recline position even in forward facing mode. Awesome for kids who still sleep in the car. I LOVE THIS SEAT! LOL My son, who is too big for every other car seat at Walmart has the same amount of room in this as the Britax Marathon.
The Compass Tue Fit, also sold as The First Years True Fit, is a great choice, too. Here's a thread talking all about it: http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=37221&highlight=truefit Has 16.5 inch top harness slots, half inch shorter than the Britax Marathon and Evenflo Triumph Advance. Rear faces to 35lbs, forward faces to 65lbs, has built-in lockoffs, and you never have to rethread the harness to change harness height. The headrest is removable to fit better in smaller cars. $179 for the one cover Walmart offers it in, check Babies R Us and other stores for different covers at a little more expensive price.
Another thing worth noting: is she forward facing or rear facing? Most people in the USA turn their child forward facing at 12 months/20lbs, even though that rule came about in the 1980's when that's all our seats were capable of doing and we didn't know how much safer it was for them to stay rear facing. Here's some info on rear facing, you absolutely could turn her rear facing (and it may even fix the problem by making her more comfy, most kids prefer to be rear facing so they can rest their feet/legs on the seat back rather than dangling them and having them fall asleep):
Turning kids forward at 20lbs/1year is an outdated practice that could cost you your child's life!
1)A forward-facing child under 2 years old is 5 times more likely to be killed or seriously injured in a crash than a rear-facing child of the same age.
2)A child's vertabrae do not fully fuse until 3-6 years old, before then, she is at great risk for internal decapitation. The spinal column can stretch up to 2 inches in a crash BUT the spinal cord can only stretch up to 1/4 inch before it snaps and baby is gone.
3)Current research suggests that children under the age of two years are 75 percent less likely to die or be seriously injured when they are riding rear facing.
4)In a recent article from Injury Prevention, it was found that the odds of severe injury to forward facing children age 12-23 months old was 5.32 times higher than a rear facing child. (Car Safety Seats For Children: Rear Facing For Best Protection; Injury Prevention 2007; 13:398-402.)
It works this way: when you get in an accident and run into something, the car stop suddently, but everything and everyone in the car keeps moving in the direction the car was moving when it stopped, in most accidents, this is forward. So in an accident with a child in a forward facing seat, his head, the heaviest part of the body on babies and toddlers, flies forward very forcefully and easily snaps. If that same child is in a rear facing seat, his head tries to fly forward but is supported by the back of the rear facing seat, so there is no stress put on the child's neck and spine.
Check out this photo album exclusively of rear facing kids, many of them much older than 12 months: http://www.cpsafety.com/articles/RFAlbum.aspx There isn't a single documented case of a child breaking their legs b/c they were rear facing in an accident. There are, however, lots of cases where children have been killed and seriously injured where a rear facing seat would have protected them better.

Where can I find a wallet with a combination lock?
I seem to keep finding wallets with fake fashion locks. I'm looking for one with a REAL lock, preferably a combination lock.
If not a wallet, then something small and light that locks, like a pouch.
I would prefer it to be a combination lock whatever it is.

I'm not concerned as much about it being outright stolen, but just to keep deter someone who comes over from trying take money out of it without my noticing.
I just don't have as much privacy as I would like. I've already tried hiding my stash, but I found some missing, and I don't know who's been taking some of it, so I just want it to be secure.
Never heard of such a thing. But if the wallet is constructed with a ring in addition to the zipper, you could buy one of those small TSA-type locks and attach it. Or you could put one of those plastic zip-tie-lock thingies [can't remember what they're called!] that you find at Home Depot [but you'd have to have a way to cut it off every time you wanted to get into your wallet!].
I'm not understanding the point of a lock on a wallet - if someone stole it, they could just cut through it.

The temperature is adjusted by turning a knob on the side of the machine. It will glow red when the hot setting is in use and turn blue when it's in cold mode.
The iLam 340 has 4 rollers so you're just about guaranteed to get great results whenever you use this machine. The rollers will give your document a smooth, crystal clear look and your work will be free from wrinkles and heat marks.
Clearing up jams is easy with this machine. It has a reverse button you can press to help clear things up. If the jam is really bad, it's easy to open this machine up.
This isn't a particularly large laminator despite its wide feed opening. Its dimensions are 17.5" (width) x 9.5" (depth) x 5.75" (height) so you'll be able to make room for it without any problems. Moving it to a new location will be a snap since it only weighs 15 pounds.
The iLam 340 comes with a one-year warranty so you'll have full protection if you encounter any problems. Also, this machine is reasonably priced so your wallet won't take too big of a hit.
Weaknesses:
This laminator is only compatible with pouches that are from 3 to 7 mil thick. While pouches of these thicknesses are good for everyday use, not being able to use 10 mil pouches will be inconvenient if your document needs a lot of protection.
The iLam 340's feed opening won't cut it if you need to work with really large documents.
The Akiles iLam 340's strengths definitely outnumber its weaknesses, making this machine well worth a look if you're in the market for a new laminator. This device offers a wide feed opening, hot and cold settings, and a great warranty. You'll find that it's easy to clear up pouch jams and you're going to be really impressed with the appearance of your laminated documents thank to this device's 4 rollers. While it would be nice if the iLam 340 could work with 10 mil pouches, it's nonetheless a first-rate device. Be sure to take a look at it if you need a laminator.

Vera Bradley wallet comparison...?
So I'm looking at making an online purchase of a vera bradley wallet and i've narrowed it down to two. The carry it all wristlet and the all in one wristlet. The carry it all looks like you won't have to fold your money to put it away which appeals to me. But i'm not sure if it has a zipper compartment for change. Does it?
you do have to fold your money in the carry all, and it doesnt have a chain pocket, and the id is on the inside not the outside, the phone pocket is slightly, and only slightly bigger, but the all in one is much better and even if it doesnt fit your phone it is the prefect size for hand sanitizer and chapstick then put ur phone in ur pocket i do it all the time
