Guess Tri Wallet
There has to be something like this out there!?
this is going to sound a bit strange but here goes:
I'm getting ready to add swimming to my daily training. (I'm going for my first mini-tri!) I want to jump in the lake, swim along the shore, then get out and run home. I'm looking for a waterproof, floating canister that will hold my running shoes and a shammie towel that I can tow behind me while I swim. I've been scouring the net but I guess I'm not coming up with the correct "key words" in my search. I'm picturing something like the "baywatch rescue can" but that unscrews to store gear in. Or a bigger version of the many canisters they have for keys, wallets and cell phones. Any ideas?
Try a store which sells accessories for kayaking or sailing: look for a waterproof screw-top canister for carrying e.g. camping supplies/ammunition/firelighters. You should be able to find one a suitable size.
Alternatively, try 'dry bag' as your search term. Here's the link I got from Amazon as an example:

The 'Overboard' dry-rucksack or something similar might be a good bet--I'd guess you'd be able to wear it in the water too.
