how much to ask for my dog?
I have a fawn female pug born oct 11 2009 and she has been microchipped,ckc registered, had the nasal surgery, has all of her shots, is very friendly with other people,kids and animals. She is also heartworm negative,just had her nails trimmed,comes with her food and food bowl,plush bed and her crate(she is crate trained at nite and when we leave home)
I cant keep her cause we are moving and cant take her, i would give her away but i purchased her for 1200.00 how much should i ask for when trying to sell her?
I'm guessing you purchased her from a puppy boutique? Since purebred Pugs usually go from 200-1000 dollars. You have to remember that at puppy boutiques, they usually buy from puppy mills and then mark them up quite a bit. You can find Pug puppies with champion sires for much less then what you payed for.
You also mentioned she has had nasal surgery. Which, since she is so young shows she has had some health issues already or poor breeding which can cause restricted nasal passage ways. My personal suggestion would be to just look for the best home, not for somebody who wants to purchase her. I can't see you getting more then 200 out of her, because of her health issues at such a young age. Not to mention if she is not neutered, you may get someone who just wants to over-breed her and make money.

Dog colour genetics: Does mating a fawn to a black produce diluted colour puppies?
Would the puppies produce the full Pug colour? I read something about this today, that breeding a fawn and black together dilutes the colour and can produce brindle or striped pugs! Because the fawn and black colour gene and different and should not be mixed. My pug-breeding friends have a litter of this kind with 2 even black pups and 3 fawn pups with black mask, and they say its not true. But does anyone else know different?
(I wouldn't want to do encourage it if it damages colour lines as maintaining and improving a breeds quality is supposed to be the point of breeding responsibly)
The colour is part of the breed standard as set by the kennel club. I was worried that if this was true lots of brindle pugs popped up and they'd be unable to be shown and not regarded as true to form (according to the kennel club anyway, but what do they know, why do they get to decide the rules of all dogs on earth that they like?)
There are no REAL brindle pugs.

Black is a dominant color, fawn is recessive. If you breed a black to a fawn the results will depend on whether the black carries two black genes, or one black and one fawn.
If the black dog carries two black genes, then bred to a fawn you will get all black puppies, that all carry the fawn gene.
If the black dog has one of each, then statistically you will get
1/2 black puppies (that carry the fawn gene) and 1/2 fawn puppies.
