How can I determine if stingray skin real or fake?
I just bought a stingray wallet I like to know if it's real or fake please help.
maybe you could hold a flame near a hidden part of it. If it starts to melt then it's plastic.
yep..i found this from a website promoting real stingray leather and how to spot a fake...
1. Fire Test: The grains of a fake would melt when burned.
2. Red Hot Needle Test: The grains of genuine stingray leather could not be punctured with a red hot needle.
3. The Skin Grains: The grains in a fake are glued. In a genuine skin, they are part of it.
4. The Arrangement of skin grains: The grains of genuine stingray skin are tidily, closely, and naturally bonded together leaving no gaps in between.

Am I spoiling her?
I'm a well off guy. Right now, my GF is finishing school in another city. About a month ago we got into a fight, and I sent her an Armani figurine. Now everything is going well, she plans to come to me in the next couple weeks. I want to send her this stingray skin wallet. But I'm wondering if I'm spoiling her, and she'll stop appreciating what I do for her, or will start taking me for granted. So should I wait till her birthday in September to give her something else?
Like don't get me wrong, she's not one of those gold digging chicks. She has good family values, and I had to make her keep the figurine. I guess I just love her and like spoiling her.
Well, I'm not trying to win her heart. I already have it

How sweet! The most important thing to remember about gifts is not to give so many that you look desperate. If you know she isn't with you just for your money and you really love her, go ahead and spoil her. Remember, it doesn't have to be expensive, or a gift, letters and notes are great ways to share your feelings. ( plus , you can keep those and read them forever!) Notes with a gift that say," I saw this and it reminded me of you, or the time we did..." So as for the wallet. If you send it now, put a fake train ticket in there saying how you are looking forward to seeing her soon.
